Taking Game Shows to The Next Level

A few weeks ago the beta of 1 vs 100 was launched on Xbox live in Canada. This marked a new moment in both gaming and television history. From the very first question there was a feeling that I was a part of history in the making. Watching a popular game show move from a one way medium to a completely interactive level involving at one point over 16,000 people was an amazing feeling.

Mixing a live host into a video game was something I personally had never seen before. It was buggy at first but things seemed to even out and the experience started to get better and better. Live shout outs, players on the phone, email questions asked and answered in minutes, and a community working out show questions were all part of this great equation.

I will be waiting for the real launch of this game show for the chance to win some real prizes and face off with thousands of other players, until then I'll just have to work on my avatar's dance moves.
